A total of 3 students from the Agribusiness study program at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, consisting of the 2019 and 2020 classes, have started an Internship program in Japan. This activity began with the departure of eight students from the first batch of class of 2019, who will undergo internships at leading agricultural companies in Hokkaido and Nagasaki for around six months. This Internship Program is not only a golden opportunity for students to apply the theory they have learned in class, but also a window into learning about modern agricultural practices which are very relevant at the global level.
Apart from exploring aspects of agribusiness, this internship program also provides valuable experience in interacting with Japanese culture and society. Students will live and work in Japan, allowing them to experience Japanese lifestyle, values and traditions. The hope is that this experience will help students develop invaluable interpersonal and intercultural skills. After completing this Internship program, students are expected to be able to bring home new knowledge and skills that will make a positive contribution to the development of the agribusiness sector in Indonesia and strengthen cooperation between the two countries in the fields of agriculture and agribusiness.
