The Agribusiness Study Program, Faculty of Science and Technology, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta held a community service activity on Monday, June 30, 2025, in Rambutan Village, East Jakarta. This activity raised the theme of training in making eco enzymes and natural soap made from orange peels, as an effort to increase environmental awareness as well as community skills. The event began with a warm welcome from the Head of Rambutan Village and the Head of the Agribusiness Study Program, who emphasized the importance of managing organic waste into valuable products.
The training was guided by Prof. Dr. Ir. Siti Rochaeni, M.Si., along with other lecturers from the Agribusiness study program. She guided the participants in the process of making eco enzymes from orange peel waste, as well as natural soaps that are safe and environmentally friendly. Participants were actively involved in the practice of making products, with the hope of developing these skills at home. This activity also received support from a number of Agribusiness Study Program lecturers and assisted by agribusiness students who also accompanied participants during the session.
More than 60 participants from various circles of society participated in this activity with enthusiasm. The Agribusiness Study Program hopes that this training can be the first step in creating a community that not only cares about waste management, but is also able to utilize it productively and economically. This activity is part of the commitment of the tridharma of higher education, especially in supporting the development of sustainable and economically empowered communities.
