On Wednesday, August 20, 2025, the Agribusiness Study Program, Faculty of Science and Technology, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, had the honor of welcoming Ir. Zulfikar Moesa, MS., the first Head of the Agribusiness Study Program (2000–2002). His visit was a meaningful moment of reunion and reflection, bringing back memories of the early years of the program’s establishment.
The visit began with a tour of the Agribusiness greenhouse at the Teacher Professional Education (PPG) area, accompanied by lecturers of the Agribusiness Study Program who enthusiastically showcased the facilities and student practices available today.
He
then attended the Faculty of Science and Technology Yudisium Ceremony, where he
had the opportunity to take a group photo with the Head and Secretary of the
Study Program, as well as the Dean and Vice Deans. This moment symbolized the
continuity of leadership and the development of academic excellence within the
faculty.
His visit continued with a gathering session with Agribusiness lecturers at the
Main Meeting Room of the Faculty of Science and Technology. In his remarks, Ir.
Zulfikar Moesa, MS. recalled that the establishment of the Agribusiness Study
Program took place during the transitional period when IAIN was transformed
into UIN Syarif Hidayatullah. He emphasized that studying agribusiness is
essential, as it differs from general economics or business; in agricultural
business, commodities strongly influence the entire business process.
