Jakarta, September 11, 2025 – The Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) of Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, particularly the Agribusiness Study Program, held a meeting with representatives from Japanese companies and organizations at the Impact Hub, FST Building, UIN Jakarta. The meeting aimed to explore potential collaborations in agribusiness development, international internship programs, and graduate employment opportunities.
The event, held from 11:00 to 12:00 WIB, was attended by the Head and Secretary of the Agribusiness Study Program, faculty members, as well as alumni and students—several of whom had prior internship experience in Japan. From Japan, representatives from the International Human Resource Support Organization (IHRSO), Tsunagu Group Holdings Inc., and Porters Corporation were present, accompanied by officials from UIN’s Supervisory Board and HR consultants from Liana.Segrus Co., Ltd.

During the presentation, UIN Jakarta introduced the Faculty of Science and Technology and provided an overview of the Agribusiness Study Program, including highlights of its internship program in Japan, which has been running for nearly four years. The program has offered valuable opportunities for students to enhance their skills, networks, and global perspectives.
Japanese representatives expressed appreciation for the competencies of Agribusiness students who had participated in internships in Japan. They also conveyed their readiness to establish collaborations in workforce placement, particularly for graduates with expertise in agricultural product processing and the food manufacturing industry.

The discussion session featured Agribusiness alumni who shared their experiences during internships in Japan, including their interest in working there again as well as challenges they had faced.
Head of the Agribusiness Study Program, Rizki Adi Puspita Sari, SP., MM., emphasized that this meeting marked a strategic step toward strengthening international opportunities for Agribusiness graduates. “We hope this collaboration will broaden career prospects for our students and alumni while also enhancing the quality of education and research in agribusiness,” she stated.
The meeting concluded with a mutual understanding to continue intensive communication in order to formulate more concrete forms of collaboration, both in internships and graduate employment placement.
