Commemorating the 65th National Farmers\' Day and Celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the Study Program
AKARTA, SEPTEMBER 25, 2025 – The Agribusiness Student Association (HMJ) of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta successfully held the Gebyar Ajang Tani Inspiratif (Gantari) National Seminar on Thursday (25/09/2025) at the Harun Nasution Auditorium. The event served as a double momentum: the commemoration of the 65th National Farmers\' Day and the celebration of the 25th Anniversary of the Agribusiness Study Program.
Carrying the main theme “The strategic role of the younger generation towards food self-sufficiency for a Golden Indonesia”, the seminar became a critical discussion forum involving academics, practitioners, and government representatives to advance the national agricultural sector.

The seminar featured prominent speakers, including Jarot Indarto, SP., MT., M.Sc., Ph.D from the Directorate of Food and Agriculture at the Ministry of National Development Planning (PPN)/Bappenas and Prof. Achmad Tjachja Nugraha. Jarot Indarto stressed that the younger generation plays a very large role in global change and highlighted the need for food planning that is adaptive to demographic shifts.
“The food needs and contents vary according to age. We must consider what type of food needs we must meet now, as the generations grow older. That must be part of our understanding when considering food needs,” said Jarot.

Other attendees included the Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology Prof. Husni Teja Sukmana, ST., M.Sc., Ph.D, Agribusiness Study Program Professor Prof. Achmad Tjachja Nugraha, MP, Founder of PT Bumi Agrotech Bandung Diky Indrawibawa SP., M.Agr, Young Farmer Ambassador Ahmad Fahrizal, and the Study Team of DPN HKTI Ir. Adhie Widiharto. The diversity of speakers ensured a comprehensive discussion, from policy perspectives to technology implementation in the field.
National Farmers’ Day, commemorated every September 24, aims to honor the vital role of farmers in the nation\'s development. Through the Gantari Seminar, the HMJ Agribusiness UIN Jakarta hopes to inspire students and the wider community to be actively and innovatively involved in maintaining food security and realizing the vision of Golden Indonesia.
