Accreditation Contributions and Research Achievements

Lilis played a key role as the chairperson of the international accreditation team for ASIIN, which is based in Germany. Her dedication over six semesters in managing the international accreditation documentation resulted in her receiving the Highest Contributor Award for the Agribusiness Study Program from the Faculty of Science and Technology. In addition to her administrative duties, she remains active in research with a focus on food sustainability, such as her study on organic rice in Indramayu from 2017 to 2019. Through this research, she emphasizes the importance of food health and the independence of the local agricultural sector amidst the challenges of commodity imports.

Perspectives on Youth and Technology

As an educator who interacts directly with Generation Z, Lilis emphasizes the importance of students developing their independent thinking capacity rather than relying solely on “thumb technology” or artificial intelligence. She also actively instills a sense of pride in the character of the Indonesian nation, such as the culture of mutual cooperation (gotong royong) and friendliness, which is now gaining appreciation from the international community. She hopes that students will carry the values of noble character (akhlakul karimah) and the principles of Islam as a mercy to all creation (rahmatan lil alamin) as their identity in global social circles. She believes that even as technology continues to evolve, human values and relationships must be maintained through real social interaction.
