Agribusiness Study Program Warmly Welcomes New Students at PBAK 2025

The Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta successfully held the final day of the Pengenalan Budaya Akademik dan Kemahasiswaan (PBAK) 2025, a key orientation program designed to welcome and introduce new students to university life. One of the highlights of this event was the special session organized by the Agribusiness Study Program, where faculty members, lecturers, and academic leaders came together to warmly greet the incoming students.

The event began with a welcoming speech from the Head of the Agribusiness Study Program, Ms. Rizki Adi Puspita Sari, M.M. In her remarks, she expressed her pride in seeing the enthusiasm of the new cohort and encouraged students to approach their academic journey with dedication, curiosity, and a strong sense of responsibility. Following her speech, the session continued with an inspiring presentation by Prof. Dr. Ujang Maman, M.Si, who shared valuable insights about the dynamics of agribusiness in both national and international contexts. His talk provided students with a broader perspective on how agribusiness contributes not only to economic growth but also to environmental sustainability and social well-being. He emphasized that as future agribusiness professionals, students are expected to develop critical thinking, leadership, and entrepreneurial skills that will enable them to contribute meaningfully to society.

The enthusiasm of the new students was clearly reflected in the interactive session that followed. Several students actively raised questions, showing their early interest in the subject matter. They asked about the types of businesses in the agricultural sector, the steps required to start an agribusiness venture, and the opportunities available for international internships, particularly in Japan. These questions highlighted the eagerness of the new cohort to explore practical aspects of agribusiness and to connect their academic learning with real-world experiences.

In addition to the formal presentations, the event was made more memorable by the active participation of Agribusiness lecturers, who joined the session to personally welcome the new students. Their presence created a warm and encouraging atmosphere, showing the strong bond between faculty and students that characterizes the Agribusiness Study Program.

By the end of the session, students expressed their excitement and optimism for the years ahead. The welcoming activities reinforced the program’s commitment to nurturing not only academic excellence but also character development and professional readiness. With the guidance of dedicated lecturers and the inspiration provided during the PBAK, the new students are now better prepared to embark on their path as future leaders in the field of agribusiness.

This meaningful event stands as a testament to the Faculty of Science and Technology’s commitment to fostering a supportive and innovative learning environment.
